1st english class for kutilang

finally after ages postponed, i made my way to 1st english class for Kutilang folks. It was yesterday, wednesday 14 2007, started a little later after 10 am and ended 12:30ish pm. i was nervous, thought won't be a good teacher. i lost my english book that i used to use it when i was still as an assistant for english class in campus. an old, brown book from my beloved grandpa. so, i was only able to prepare my oldy dandy dictionary and old national geographic in english version. yup, everything i use to teach are old... in terms of condition, but the contents are last forever.

no white board, no problem. we used blank white papers. five kutilang folks, included mas ige, the boss. they called me mother teacher for the indonesian of ibu guru. how funny..

i started with reading, each of them chose one short text to read, to improve their pronounciation. they were all pretty good, except for javanese tounge that need to be change a little bit. then moved on to conversation. splitted them into pairs of two, made their own conversation pretending to meet in bookstore and in the bus. well done for everyone. just tiny mistakes. next, time for tenses. puffh..this is challenging as i am not that mastering in this part. but they learnt and i learnt more. well, perhaps remainding is more proper way to decsribe it. and last one, listening and writing.

overall, they are all good. just need to remaind them a little bit and helping them to improve their english.

time were flying so fast... i was sweating, as usual. and when i looked up the time, ahh... half an hour past 12 already. i ended the 1st session with two homeworks for them. just piece of cake of course. they'll do it perfectly, oh yeah, i'm sure for that.

the greatest thing was, the session went allright and a lot of fun. got homework for my self, mastering the tenses! don't forget ya..
